An established industry player is seeking a Maintenance Co-op Student for a 12 to 16-month term. This role involves administering maintenance routines, tracking key performance indicators, and assisting in project planning. Ideal candidates will be enrolled in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering program and possess strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes. Maintenance Co-op Student (Rolling Stock) (12 to 16-Month Term)

Term Start: September 2025

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administering maintenance routines and schedules
  • Keeping maintenance records
  • Tracking maintenance key performance indicators
  • Assisting with project planning, estimating, scope definition and cost tracking
  • Sourcing, ordering and expediting equipment parts
  • Participating in planning and scheduling meetings
  • Reviewing outstanding maintenance work orders
  • Organizing and arranging contract services
  • Tracking equipment usage
  • Coordinating equipment downtime with production requirements
  • Supporting condition monitoring program
  • Entering data in Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Assuming other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Be currently enrolled in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering program
  • Have a strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel
  • Demonstrate ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads and sudden or frequent changes in priority
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
