Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Carpenter PNO - Trade Craft responsibilities include:

  • Builds fixtures and erects scaffolding.
  • Constructs and maintains structural woodwork.
  • Builds, repairs, and installs cabinets, paneling, floors, building framework, and finish trims.
  • Hangs metal and wood door jambs, locks, and other hardware.
  • Performs skilled carpentry work in construction, framing, and finishing wood products for plant facilities.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Perform scaffolding, woodwork, concrete forming work, and fireproofing forming.
  • Construct and maintain structural woodwork.
  • Build, repair, and install cabinets, paneling, floors, building framework, and finish trims.
  • Hang door jambs, locks, and hardware.
  • Erect fixtures and scaffolding.
  • Maintain facilities and ensure good housekeeping.
  • Dismantle or demolish designated items prior to repairs.
  • Work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal/written descriptions.
  • Follow EHSS safety requirements.
  • Perform maintenance activities as assigned.
  • Initiate work requests and attend mandatory training.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of carpentry experience, including use of carpentry tools, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Ability to use all carpentry tools including power saws, planers, routers, sanders, and joiners.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Training and experience through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.
