Job summary

Pursuit is hiring for a maintenance role in Banff to upkeep the Banff Gondola facilities and surrounding areas. You will perform daily checks, assist with basic repairs, and support lift operations while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has maintenance experience, basic trade skills, and the ability to work independently. Must have an Alberta driver’s license and English proficiency; physical ability to lift and a willingness to consent to a criminal record check

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience is an asset.
• Trade experience in carpentry, plumbing or mechanical is an asset.
• Current Alberta Driver's License required.
• Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Lift operations experience is an asset.
• Leadership qualities desired.
• Ability to take direction under stressful conditions.
• First Aid training is an asset.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Criminal record check consent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Banff Gondola and ensure high quality standards.
• Perform daily maintenance checks as assigned.
• Maintain upkeep of buildings, grounds, and lift terminals including snow removal.
• Assist with basic repairs and support supervisors/management on major repairs.
• Promote safe work practices.
• Assist on lift and in parking lot as needed.
• Interact with coworkers, management and guests regularly.
• Provide visitors a high-quality experience and strong customer service.
• Report to the Operations Manager and complete assigned projects.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities

• Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the Banff Gondola while maintaining the highest standard of quality
• Performing daily maintenance checks as assigned
• Maintain the upkeep of all buildings, grounds and lift terminals including snow shoveling and operation of snow clearing equipment
• Complete basic repairs and assist Supervisors and Managers with major repairs
• Encourage and participate in safe work practices
• Assist on the lift and in the parking lot as required
• Frequent interaction with coworkers, management and guests
• Providing visitors a high-quality experience and ensuring a high level of customer service is given to each guest
• Report to the Operations Manager and complete all projects and tasks as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience an asset
• Previous trade experience an asset (Basic Carpentry, plumbing or Mechanical)
• Current Alberta Driver's License
• Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimal supervision

The starting wage for this role is $24.00/hour.
