Located in Pandosy Village, Cristalina PARC is in full bloom, just one block from Lake Okanagan, with 133 suites. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance activities and handyman services, including:

  • Performing maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, plastering, snow removal, minor repairs, basic plumbing and electrical work within established timeframes.
  • Ensuring the overall safety and cleanliness of the building.
  • Responding to residents’ maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
  • Assisting with suite preparation for turnover, including carpet cleaning, painting, furniture moving, and other tasks.
  • Supporting the Building Services Manager, including responding to emergency situations.

Are you the right fit?

  • You are a pleasant, upbeat professional who brings positive energy.
  • You have a high school diploma and at least three years of relevant experience in hotel or senior-living industries.
  • You have completed WHMIS and hold a Facility Management or Class 5 Power Engineering certification; Building Services Worker Program is a plus.
  • You have experience in plumbing, electrical, heating, painting, carpentry, janitorial work, and mechanical maintenance.
  • You understand physical plant operations and troubleshooting major systems.
  • You are a critical thinker, responsive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • You respect the needs of seniors, their families, and professional service providers.

Note: PARC Retirement Living requires a Criminal Record Check and a TB test within the first month of employment.
