About the Role:

As a CBREMaintenance Assistant/General Maintainer,you willbe responsible formaintainingsmall to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. Theyare responsible forprovidingsupport, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Performs light duties: sweeping, general cleaning, painting/patching, garbage removal, snow removal, etc.

  • Completes basic preventive/demand maintenance tasks; input histories ifrequired

  • Completes general maintenance of door/window hardware

  • Re-lamps asrequired

  • Maintains signage

  • Complete filter changes

  • Inspects/repairs interior/exterior elements i.e., walls, sidewalks, etc.

  • Maintains/repairs concrete precast/cement

  • Inspects roof for debris; reports damage

  • Repairs drywall/tiles (floor and wall)

  • Assiststrade asrequiredwith light maintenance of mechanical/electrical equipment

  • Escalates unusual events,occurrencesor unsafe conditions to supervisor

  • Responds to basic tenant requests and emergencies

  • Respond to environmental/comfort complaints ifrequired

  • Monitors work of contractors/external service providers to ensure adherence to contract specifics and company/industry standards

  • Participates in reviewing of operating standards, policies/procedures asrequired

  • Works in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other applicable codes

  • Maintain a clean work environment

What you’ll need

  • Previoushandyperson experience – 1 year

  • You should have excellent customer service skills in ensuring client requests are responded to professionally;

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written);

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
