Job summary

A prominent hotel in Ontario is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join their dedicated maintenance team. You will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's functionality and safety. The role requires basic repairs, painting, and assisting with renovations. Prior experience is preferred. Excellent employee perks are provided, including discounts and access to health services.

Job description

Location: THE PIG - on the Beach

Salary: OTE £13.31 per hour, including tronc

Hours: 35 hours per week, over 5 days

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated maintenance team.


As a Maintenance Assistant, you will work as part of a small team to maintain the functionality, efficiency, health & safety of the hotel. Managing preventative maintenance and understanding fire safety are key aspects of the role.


You will need to be 'hands-on' with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Responsibilities include basic repairs, painting, decorating, and assisting the Maintenance Manager with renovations and projects.


Experience in a similar role is preferred, along with qualifications or exposure to PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry, plant room management, and health & safety.
