Distribution Center: TX100

Part-time Shift(s): TUE WED THU FRI 6:00am - 12:00pm; SAT 11:00am - 7:00pm

Up to 28 hours/week

Overview

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced warehouse. As a Part-time Maintenance team member, you will perform a variety of duties related to the maintenance and repair of our facilities, equipment, and fixtures in production. This position is based in Denton, TX. Fastenal is committed to environmental protection and providing a safe, healthy workplace. We aim to integrate EHS & Sustainability into all our decisions and operations. After onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals, this position may offer a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, motors, and gears
• Respond to repair or maintenance requests for production equipment
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in hydraulic and electric machinery
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Follow health, safety, and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participate in activities supporting health, safety, and sustainability objectives
• Complete environmental health and safety trainings

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving record requirements
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
• Problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
• Self-motivated, customer service-oriented
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willing to work flexible hours/overtime
• Ability to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages weighing 25-50 lbs (up to 100 lbs)
• Willingness to bend, reach, stoop, and stand/walk/climb frequently
• Pass drug screening (US, Puerto Rico, Guam)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior maintenance or mechanical experience
• Knowledge of machinery, tools, repair, and maintenance
• Electrical experience
• Conveyor system experience
