We are currently seeking a Mainframe Developer/Engineer to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).

We have Mainframe Developer/Engineer openings that represent an outstanding opportunity to further develop your career in technology by supporting our business partners to ensure projects are implemented with the highest quality.

Day to Day/Job Function

This Mainframe Engineer is part of a high-energy team, responsible for coding, researching, developing, testing, and working with environment groups to integrate and support changes from development to test and production environments.

Required Skillset

• 3+ years of experience in Mainframe coding and debugging
• 3+ years of experience using CICS, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, MQ, and JCL
• 3+ years of experience in CICS System knowledge
• Good understanding of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing process
• Familiarity with DB2 tools, File-Aid, scheduler, and debugger tools
• General knowledge in core Java and Front-end Technologies (Angular) is a plus
• Experience with Endeavor Software Manager migration tool/process
• SFTP/AWXAY Secure File transfer knowledge

Good communication skills and the ability to interact with partners

Ability to work independently and within a team structure

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant field required
