Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with a strong background in the insurance industry to support our legacy Management Information System (MIS). The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the regulatory reporting team to ensure accurate and timely submissions to industry regulators.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain and enhance legacy MIS for regulatory reporting.
• Develop, test, and deploy COBOL programs for processing insurance data feeds – specifically N0110 (Premium Feed) and N0130 (Claims Feed).
• Work with Informatica for data integration and transformation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure integrity of batch processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and implement reporting requirements.
• Provide documentation and technical support to end-users.
• Ensure compliance with insurance industry regulations.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Research and recommend new technologies or improvements for long-term sustainability.
• Support the implementation of new development processes and strategies.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mainframe development experience, specifically within the insurance domain.
• Proficiency in COBOL and Informatica.
• Solid knowledge of N0110 and N0130 insurance data feeds.
• Experience with batch job scheduling and processing.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting standards in the insurance industry.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with other mainframe tools and technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management.
