Job summary

GAC Solutions is seeking a seasoned mainframe developer with 5+ years of COBOL development, JCL scripting for batch processing, DB2 database design, and CICS transaction programming to enable online access. The role emphasizes adherence to coding standards and best practices in a legacy systems environment.

The ideal candidate will participate in design, development, testing, and maintenance tasks across all four core technologies to support critical business applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of COBOL development using established coding standards and best practices.
• 5+ years of developing and maintaining JCL scripts to manage batch processing and job scheduling.
• 5+ years of designing, developing, and maintaining DB2 databases to support application data needs.
• 5+ years of writing and maintaining CICS transaction programs to provide online access to mainframe applications.
