Position Summary

Are you a registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Magnetic Resonance Imaging department.

In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the position promotes a safe environment for patients, residents, families, visitors, and staff. Reporting to the Chief Technologist/Manager, and under the direction of a Radiologist, performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures. Assists Radiologists during procedures, inputs patient-specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS, and provides guidance to student technologists and staff trainees.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, Days, Evenings - 06:30 to 14:30, 07:00 to 15:00, 10:00 to 18:00, 12:00 to 20:00

Ksyen Regional Hospital

The new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. The facility features 82 beds, private rooms, and serves as a center for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. It is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.

Terrace

The thriving community of Terrace offers northern living at its best, with snow-capped mountains, glacier-fed rivers, lakes, and streams. The main industries include communications, transportation, and natural resources. The population is approximately 12,700, with educational institutions like Northwest Community College and a UNBC campus. There is always something new to experience in Terrace.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program and a recognized MRI program. Two (2) years recent related experience or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Eligible for membership with BCAMRT and/or CAMRT.
