MacMillan Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist

Do you have significant experience supporting patients and families dealing with a diagnosis of Breast Cancer and its treatment? Would you like to develop your career within Breast Cancer Care?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our highly skilled, motivated, and dynamic Breast Cancer team at North Middlesex University Hospital. We aim to make a difference and improve the experience of patients diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be expected to :

  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in Breast Cancer
  • Exhibit advanced communication and interpersonal skills, along with a collaborative team working attitude
  • Manage an expert caseload, prioritise effectively, and handle workload independently
  • Engage in audit and research to promote service development initiatives
  • Be a dynamic and self-motivated individual

Proven experience in oncology is essential.

  • Knowledge and experience of undertaking HNA and recovery packages
  • Experience in end-of-care treatment summaries
  • Knowledge of breast pathways and one-stop clinics
  • SACT training / holding SACT passport
  • Experience with stratified pathways
  • Management of complex surgical wounds
