Wesdome Gold Mines is seeking a MacLean Operator for the Eagle River Complex in Ontario. You will safely operate mechanized bolting equipment in underground development headings and install ground support to help meet daily targets.
The role requires underground mining experience, a solid safety record, and the ability to work 10-hour shifts on a 14-on/14-off rotation. Ontario Underground Miner certification and MacLean bolter experience are preferred.
Wesdome is a Canadian-focused gold producer with two high-grade underground assets, the Eagle River mine in Ontario and the Kiena mine in Québec. The Eagle River Mine site has a tight-knit team where everyone knows each other and there is a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support. It is a hands‑on, fast paced environment where work feels impactful and you can see the results of your contributions quickly. There are many long-tenured employees and a lot of site pride.
The mine is located a short drive from Wawa, deep in the forest where it is scenic and quiet. It is a real ‘boots on the ground’ setting. Team members reside in a camp environment and typically work on rotations, depending on the position. The camp offers excellent food, a sauna/gym, recreational room and the opportunity to stay connected with family and friends.
Salary Range: $36.44 to $44.87
Reporting to the Development Mine Supervisor, the MacLean Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mechanized bolting equipment in underground development headings. The successful candidate will install ground support systems, maintain safe working conditions, and contribute to achieving daily development targets while adhering to all safety and operational standards.
You are a safety-focused underground mining professional with experience operating mechanized bolting equipment in active development headings. You have a strong understanding of underground ground support systems and take pride in maintaining safe, productive, and efficient work areas underground.
