Pay Rate : $44.36/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for a skilled Machinist or Tool & Die Maker to join our high-performing tooling team. In this role, you’ll use your expertise to design, build, and maintain precision tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauges that keep our manufacturing running at its best.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Build with precision: Design, machine, and assemble custom tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges to support high-quality, high-efficiency production.
  • Adapt and improve: Modify existing tools and dies to meet production changes, address wear, and improve performance.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with engineers, machinists, and production staff to develop tooling solutions that meet operational needs.
  • Work to exacting standards: Operate manual and CNC machines to produce components to tight tolerances, ensuring tooling accuracy and reliability.
  • Support production directly: Build, set up, and test dies in presses, making fine adjustments for fit and function.
  • Problem-solve on the floor: Diagnose and resolve tooling-related production issues quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain for longevity: Inspect, service, and repair tools and dies to ensure consistent performance and extend service life.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • Red Seal Machinist or Tool & Die Maker certification (Interprovincial equivalent accepted) – This is a firm requirement
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings
  • Proficiency in precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Experience with CNC and manual machining operations (CNC programming an asset)
  • Knowledge of press setup and die maintenance an asset
  • Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to quality and safety
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
