General Summary

TEAM's is a global leader in providing field machining services to industrial sites and manufacturing facilities. Our technicians are expected to meet high standards. The main responsibilities of the Field Machining technicians include:

• Review client job scope
• Follow safety procedures and complete all job documentation
• Ensure equipment and tooling are accountable prior to arriving at the job site
• Meet or exceed client quality and production expectations

The Field Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating various portable machine tools for on-site machining and repairs at client locations. The primary role is to perform field machining operations following approved procedures and standards.

Technicians are responsible for executing services according to site and company requirements, and are expected to pursue ongoing training to enhance their skills. Experienced technicians may lead less experienced team members on job sites.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and legal regulations
• Perform all assigned duties in line with TEAM's Core Values
• Conduct field machining tasks such as pipe cutting, flange resurfacing, drilling, milling, line boring, key-way cutting, shaft turning, and bolt removal
• Identify safety hazards and use proper safety procedures and equipment
• Document all field activities accurately

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training is a plus
• At least 3 years of experience in industrial field machining
• HAZWOPER certification preferred
• Travel requirements: 0% - 27%

Work Conditions

• Based at a branch or site location
• Work involves indoor and outdoor environments, often around noisy machinery
• Interaction with team members, supervisors, and clients
• Must wear safety equipment as required
• May work at multiple sites daily and tolerate climate changes
• Periodic travel out of town may be required

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Capability to walk, climb, and perform manual tasks
• Effective communication skills
• Sufficient observation skills and manual dexterity
• Ability to work in various environments, including elevated platforms
• Focus and multitasking abilities
