Job Description

Manufacture high-quality landing gear components through various operations on CNC and conventional machines, maintaining safety, efficiency, cost, and quality standards.

Qualifications
  • General Machinist certification (Red Seal preferred) or equivalent, with at least 5 years of aerospace experience.
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or trade school program.
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines, including vertical/horizontal milling, flat bed lathes, gap bed lathes, and multi-axis mill-turn machines.
  • Good understanding of G-Code programming and probing routines/macros (Renishaw probes).
  • Experience with Fanuc, Mazatrol, Tosnuc, and Siemens 840D controls is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings with knowledge of GD&T.
  • Ability to multitask and run multiple CNC machines concurrently.
  • Self-inspection skills using various inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and standard work principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, including shift work.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations is an asset.
  • Basic computer skills.
