A local manufacturing company in Southwestern Ontario is looking for a skilled apprentice in CNC machining. The role involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings, setting up machine tools, and using precise measuring instruments. The ideal candidate will have a Registered Apprenticeship certificate and a detail-oriented work ethic. Excellent benefits are offered, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work setting: General manufacturing. Tasks: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools.
Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training. Level one apprenticeship training. Measuring tools: Micrometers. Callipers. Calibre. Gauges. Verniers. Equipment and machinery experience: Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Flexibility. Initiative. Team player.
