Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace Mississauga has an exciting opportunity for a Machinist. The successful candidate will independently plan and perform operations to set up and operate turning and non-turning machines, ensuring the accuracy and surface finish of machined components.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work from blueprints, sketches, design drawings, samples, and oral instructions to required tolerances.
  • Perform tool proving and training related to turning and non-turning operations as needed.
  • Mount, align, and secure work-holders, tools, attachments, and programs, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Check dimensions of machined work.
  • Follow general operation plans, including blueprints and process sheets.

Position Requirements

  • Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship or equivalent experience/courses in machining (Trade Certification preferred).
  • Trade Certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Machinist or similar role, preferably in aerospace.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods and Contract Security clearances.
