WE’RE LOOKING FOR A MACHINIST
POSITION LOCATION: FORT ERIE, ONTARIO
The Machinist is responsible for interpreting engineering drawings and technical repair schemes in order to manufacture/modify and/or repair components and tooling required. The position is multi-disciplinary and services multiple departments in a variety of capacities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Manufacturing Detailed Parts/Tooling
- Read engineering drawings, determine machining sequences and equipment required.
- Machine parts to precision requirements of tolerance and finish.
Overhaul Machining
- Reads supplied repair schemes provided by overhaul technicians to determine machining operations required on components.
- Selects and utilizes appropriate machinery, fixturing and processes as required to achieve desired outcome.
- Recognizes and understands critical parts and processes.
- Verifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.
- Troubleshoots, debugs and modifies to achieve expected performance.
- Carries out other duties as assigned.
Maintaining Records/Reports & Staying on Schedule
- Documents work performed and verifies dimensional accuracy prior to moving parts forward.
- Maintains online inventory and updates schedules as appropriate.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Completion of College Level Machinist Course.
Experience
- 2+ years of CNC mill programming & operation a must.
- Experience using MasterCam is an asset.

Technical Systems Proficiency
- Setup and operation of multiple CNC machines, including Mills, Lathes and router tables, as needed.
- Ability to read and write g-code using CAM software and at the machine controller as required.
- Utilize ISO compliant documentation and/or processes to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished workpiece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
