Job summary
Meridian Lightweight Technologies is a global leader in lightweight manufacturing, based in Middlesex Centre, Ontario. This full-time General Labourer/Apprenticeship role operates on a shift-rotation schedule and is in-person at the Middlesex Centre site.
Responsibilities include operating secondary equipment, assembling and inspecting parts, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The position offers a wage of $23.93 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and career development

Responsibilities
- Operation of secondary equipment, assembling, sorting, and packing of parts.
- Part inspection and removal of loose flash and burrs.
- Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area; remove turnings and waste.
- Lift and carry items up to 30 lbs; stand for long periods; perform bending/kneeling/reaching.

To operate equipment and assemble components, in all areas of secondary operation.
- Operation of secondary equipment. Assembling, sorting, and packing of parts. Part inspection, removing any loose flash and burrs.
- Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe environment. Removing machine turnings, stacking finished goods, garbage removal. Clean-up work areas, wash station down, clean screens and empty trays.
- Ability to lift and carry items ranging from minimum (1 lbs) to maximum (30 lbs)
- Standing for long periods (on their feet for the entire shift except for breaks)
- Bending (15-20%), kneeling (1%), reaching (15-20%)
- Repetitive motions (80%)
- Walking or climbing stairs/ladders (10-15%), only when doing repairs or visiting the supervisor's office
- Exposure to noise (must wear hearing protection on the floor; exposed to high noise levels the entire time while on the floor)
- Temperature conditions (hot/cold environments); heat break policy is in effect due to the temperatures during the summer months
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
