What role you will play in our team

Are you tech savvy and motivated to gain valuable hands-on work experiences? If you are passionate about safety, building positive relationships, and working within a strong team environment, then we have the role for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Machinery Engineering Student at our Cold Lake asset. You will get to develop your skills and put them to use maintaining and optimizing our rotating equipment.

What you will do
  • Support our machinery program and collaborate with the operations, maintenance and technical teams
  • Surveillance of machinery operating performance including recommendations to improve performance and reliability
  • Providing machinery input for change events including operating or setpoint changes
  • Interfacing with maintenance and vendors to develop repair plans
  • Specifying equipment new or replacement in kind equipment.
About you

Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering
  • To be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application
  • A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Must be comfortable with working/driving in rural areas and driving ½ ton trucks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be available for a 12-month term assignment

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Commitment to safety on and off the job
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who enjoy working with others
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills
  • Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential
