Job description

We're hiring a Machine Operator to join an industry-leading distribution company based in Miles Platting. Supplying high-quality, specialist goods to an impressive range of companies across the globe, your role will involve operating cutting machines to ensure quality cuts are supplied and packaged to the agricultural and construction industries.

What's on offer?

5 or 4-day weeks - candidates can work either early shifts or late shifts.

early shifts : 6.00 am to 2.30 pm Monday to Friday

late shifts : 1.00 pm to 11.00 pm Monday to Thursday

What will you be doing as a Machine Operator / Packer?

• Operating cranes, forklift trucks and other handling equipment in a safe manner according to the procedures set out by the company
• Setting and operating band saws and automatic cutting machines
• Ensuring all quality standards and procedures are understood and followed
• Packing and labelling the finished products ready for dispatch

What do you need?

• Previous experience working in a workshop / production environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Although the role isn't physically demanding, you must be capable of standing for long periods
