Pollard Banknote Limited in Winnipeg is seeking a Machine Vision Developer to join the Technical Application Development team. This permanent, full-time role designs, develops, and maintains manufacturing software with a primary focus on machine vision and camera-based technologies on-site in Winnipeg.

You will analyze user requirements, implement systems of varying complexity, and collaborate with vendors and the engineering team to integrate camera and scanning technology along the production

• Collaborate with vendors on sourcing and testing new hardware.
• Work with engineering to integrate camera and scanning technology with a production line.

Reporting to the Manager, Technical Application Development, this permanent full-time position is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting manufacturing software applications and specialized programming solutions, with a primary focus on machine vision and camera-based technologies. The successful candidate will analyze user requirements, design and implement systems of varying complexity, and identify opportunities to improve business processes through innovative technical solutions.

• High technical aptitude; technical knowledge regarding hardware devices, operating systems and applications
• Project Management principles
• In depth knowledge/understanding of multiple programming languages; C#
• Software configuration
• Relational database concepts and SQL language (MySQL and asset)
• Diagnosing hardware issues such as signal noise, dropping of frames
