Job summary

Metalcor Building Systems is seeking an on-site CNC Machinist to operate and set up machining operations. You will verify part dimensions with micrometers and calipers, and assist with routine machine maintenance at the London, Ontario site.

Required is 1 year to 2 years of experience or an equivalent trades certificate. The role is on site with no remote option and offers free parking among other benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant CNC machining experience or apprenticeship.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T basics.
• Familiar with micrometers, calipers and height gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations.
• Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments.
• Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts to remove unwanted portions (if applicable).
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut for CNC machine tools.
• Clean and maintain workspace.
