Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is hiring a Machine Seibi Tech for a 12-month contract in Cambridge, Ontario. The role involves installation, startup, and ongoing maintenance of welding equipment, with travel to multiple factories in North America and abroad as needed.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year technical degree or equivalent, with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and robotics, and a background in weld equipment or body weld processes.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree (A.S.) or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, robot programming, PLC logic modification and troubleshooting.
• Offline and/or online robot programming.
• Ensure new model equipment meets standards and performs as intended.
• Prepare and confirm new Body Weld equipment at vendors.
• Support weld machine Seibi activity from installation to production start.
• Develop equipment countermeasures during setup/trials.

Responsibilities

• Travel to support Cambridge and Woodstock locations in Ontario, with potential travel to other factories in the U.S., Mexico, and Japan.
• Assist with equipment installation, commissioning and startup.
• Troubleshoot and optimize robotic welding systems (spot/arc).

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a Machine Seibi Tech for a temporary assignment in Cambridge, Ontario.

This is a 12-month contract. The pay range for this role is between $35.00 - $40.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

Qualifications:

• 2-year technical degree (A.S.) or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, robot programming, PLC logic modification and troubleshooting
• Offline and/or online robot programming
• Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended
• Prepare and confirm new Body Weld equipment at the vendors
• Support weld machine Seibi activity at North American Manufacturing Companies from installation to start of production
• Develop equipment countermeasures during set up/trials
• Primary support locations would be Cambridge and Woodstock, Ontario, Canada but need to travel at other factories in United States, Mexico, Japan.

Added Bonus:

• Experience with automated robotic welding (spot/arc) and robotic material handling preferred.
• Industrial maintenance.
• Body weld shop experiences an asset.
