Machine Operator with SNB - Afternoon Shift

Position Overview

As a Machine Operator for SNB equipment (Shearing, Notching, Bending), you will produce precision sheet-metal components for heating and cooling systems. Ensure parts meet print specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings;
2. Shear, notch, cut, bend, punch different types of metal;
3. Operate metalworking machines such as Accushear, Variable Angle Notching Machine, Schroder Panel Bender, and Prima Power Bending;
4. Maintain records of consumption documents.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of material gauges;
• Ability to read tape measures, diagrams, and blueprints;
• Understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and sheet metal principles;
• Previous manufacturing experience is an asset;
• Mechanical aptitude to learn and operate machinery;
• Basic computer and math skills, ability to read a ruler;
• Ability to follow written instructions;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Reliability and dependability;
• Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs unassisted;
• May be exposed to noisy environments (ear protection may be required);
• Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
