NSI Industries is seeking a Machine Operator Set Up / Stampingfor our Electrical division for our Bridgeport Fittings product line located in Stratford, CT. This role is a first shift position, hours are 7am - 3pm.

Responsibilities

  • Make and print labels for Delta Machines and benches
  • Operate flats labeler- (Get boxes, deliver labeled boxes to Deltas).
  • Set-Up Delta #2 (Weigher)
  • Operate VDT and printer (Labels, Routings, REQS)
  • Maintain spare parts shelves
  • Clean-Up conveyor troughs
  • Pinch-hit for Foreperson when needed
  • Ear plugs must be worn. Report any Safety problems immediately.
  • Verbal and written communications with the packers, the Forepersons, and the Supervisor concerning labels, boxes, cartons, set-ups, and the material flow within the Department, as well as about the machinery and computer equipment.
  • To learn basic fundamentals will take 1-2 weeks. To master the systems and procedures will take 1-2 months.


Requirements

  • On the job training, but previous experience is helpful.
  • Working knowledge of boxes and cartons used for each job.
  • Knowledge of routing sheets and applicable contents.
  • Safety awareness.


Environment:
100% performed in plant facilities with extensive noise and machinery running

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
