As a Machine Operator in the Packaging department, you will be operating machines in a packaging or powder area as well as performing Packing / Inspection duties. You will be responsible for ensuring that the particular machine(s) are performing to production targets and according to Safety, SOP, GMP and FDA regulatory compliance requirements.

1. Proficient on one or more machines in a packaging line while meeting targeted production numbers with no Quality or Safety infractions.
2. Includes operation of ancillary equipment (Heat Tunnel, Printers, Sealers).
3. Understand the specifications indicated on the packaging batch record for each product packaged.
4. Prepare all necessary supplies and equipment to perform the job.
5. Setup, Run and make any necessary adjustments to the machines assigned to properly meet the packaging requirements of the product specifications in the batch record.
6. Ensure Quality requirements of product specifications are met including incoming materials, running work-in-process, and finished product.
7. Monitor product quality.
8. Fill out appropriate paperwork at the beginning, end of each lot, and shift.
9. Report process and equipment problems to supervisor or lead.
10. Ensure batch records, equipment logbooks, and other relevant records are current.
11. Cleans and maintains processing rooms and equipment.
12. Assist in training employees on equipment, documentation, quality checks and safety responsibilities.
13. Follows established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.
14. Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
15. Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.
16. Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and/or
2. Three (3) or more years of work experience in a fast-paced work environment in manufacturing.
3. Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.

Work Environment:

Base Salary Range: $16.90 – 19.00 per hour, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Holidays, Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program.

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
