RTX is seeking a Machine Operator – Large Millturn for the Oakville facility on the Weekend Days shift (Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.).

The role operates automated machinery to produce aircraft parts and supports the cell with tooling, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 2+ years of machine operator experience in manufacturing, and is eligible to work in Canada in compliance with ITAR/CCGP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; 2+ years machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Eligible to work in Canada; ITAR and CCGP requirements must be met.
• Willingness to train in the cell and to work overtime.
• English communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Set up machinery by loading/unloading aircraft parts into the machine.
• Start and run machinery per standard procedures.
• Work with Machinist to optimize machines and produce quality parts.
• Monitor tooling and machine performance to meet drawings.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement and 5S in the cell.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Collins aerospace is looking to hire Machine Operator – Large Millturn, who will be reporting to the Machine Shop supervisor on the Weekend Day shift.

As the Machine Operator – Large Millturn you will operate automated machinery to produce aircraft parts within the cell.

Work Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario – Canada Shift Hours – Weekend Days (Friday‑Sunday) 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

What You Will Do

• Setup machinery, by loading and unloading aircraft parts into the machine.
• Start and run machinery as per standard procedures.
• Work alongside with Machinist to optimize machines and produce quality parts.
• Manage, monitor and build machine tooling Monitor performance of the process to meet drawing requirements.
• Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot where necessary & report problems.
• Perform inspection of parts produced with high degrees of accuracy to comply with OSV requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications We Require

• High school diploma, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
• The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
• Willingness to train in the cell and to work overtime.
• Zoller tool presetting experience.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is 61,334 CAD – 81,003 CAD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
