Job summary

Durabuilt Windows & Doors is seeking a detail-oriented operator to join our on-site glass finishing team. You will set up and operate finishing machines, inspect products, and ensure conformance to specifications.

Ideal candidates have 1 year to <2 years of experience, a secondary school diploma, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, and work physically demanding shifts at our Edmonton facility.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation is required.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
• On-site position with no remote work.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy loads.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination are essential.

Responsibilities

• Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size and type of goods produced.
• Operate finishing machines to grind, drill, sand, bevel, decorate, wash or polish glass or glass products.
• Set up and adjust glass and glass product finishing machines.
• Visually inspect products for quality.
• Operate machines that press or blow molten glass in moulds to form or shape containers.
• Set up or adjust automatic glass feeding, flowing and forming machines.
• Weigh, measure and check production samples to assess conformance to specifications.
• Examine and mark defective glass to obtain the best cut.
• Operate process control machinery to cut glass or assemble glass window units.
• Place pattern on or under glass for cutting.
