Job summary

A leading staffing service is seeking associates for a manufacturing role focused on fiberglass production. Candidates will be responsible for multiple tasks including moulding, laminating, and assembling parts while ensuring adherence to quality standards. A high school diploma and previous manufacturing experience are essential, along with a forklift license. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are critical for success in this position.

  • Operate various machinery including cranes and Water Jets.
  • Maintain quality standards and complete paperwork accurately.

Job description

Associates will be responsible for the moulding of fiberglass shells, cutting, laminating and assembling of production parts ensuring the product meets quality requirements and according to production timelines.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Lifting up to 30lbs, but some part may be awkward to handle.

High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines is a must.

Fork lift license is required.

Duties include but are not limited to; (Note, rotate positions based on the job / business requirements)

  • Making fiberglass charges using a crane to load and unload fiberglass materials to the charge table
  • Mould parts using a hot press, loading raw material (up to 30LBS) and unloading the moulded part
  • Hand spray shells for lamination
  • Laminate cloth to sprayed shells, both by hand and by using the Lamination press
  • Edge wrap parts, turning cloth over edge, cut and glue into place
  • Assemble brackets, lights and speakers to laminated shells using rivets, glue and screws and grommets using drill or screwdriver
  • Cut Velcro and cloth with scissors as required
  • Operate Water Jet as required
  • Using scissors, trimming carpet on the edges of parts
  • Using a hot glue gun, gluing accessories to parts
  • Pack finished parts in box for shipment
  • Paint the edges of parts using a small paint roller
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with small components
