Overview

The Machine Operator position is responsible for performing various tasks in the production machining area within our CNC department including the SAFE Setup and Operation of the following equipment:

Responsibilities
  • The Machine Operator is responsible for tasks such as setup and operation of CNC Horizontal Machining Centers, tapping machines, band saws, vertical mills, drill presses, ironworkers, pneumatic tapping arms, and grinding tools.
  • Perform other operations as the department scope expands.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and responsibility for safety and quality requirements using machine tool equipment.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and follow work instructions.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to verify work quality.
  • Maintain a clean work area adhering to 6S standards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machining equipment.
  • Work effectively with others and communicate with supervision and management.
  • Basic math skills and computer experience, including electronic work order transactions in Syteline software.
