Job description

Position: CNC Machine Operator

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Direct Reports: No Direct Reports for this role

Summary
A CNC Machine Operator is required to ensure the safe, efficient operation, and cleaning of their machine(s). Responsible for the maintenance of prescribed quantity and quality of product produced.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain high production numbers for daily goals
2. Produce product with an emphasis on quality
3. Load raw material into machine
4. Operate / run machinery
5. Unload and deburr finished part
6. Offset tools as required
7. Follow running instructions
8. Provide feedback and maintenance requests to improve machine performance
9. Complete all assigned Quality checks
10. Participate in training and cross training, improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvement
11. Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations
12. Use all required safety equipment, e.g. Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, etc.
13. Other tasks and duties may be assigned

Work Conditions

1. Lift no more than 40lb
2. Safety equipment may be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
3. Overtime as required

Requirements

1. High School diploma, GED or equivalent
2. Machine operator experience preferred
3. Highly punctual
4. Reliable means of transportation
5. Able to work as a functioning member of a team
6. Strong work ethic
7. Ability to work independently in a busy environment
8. Experience with routine maintenance operations
9. Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
10. Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
11. Able to work well under pressure

13. Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
