Job description

Electro Cables, a Nexans company, is growing and is currently hiring for multiple Machine Operator positions to support manufacturing operations at both of our Trenton, Ontario facilities — Sidney Street and Riverside Drive.

These opportunities span a variety of departments and equipment, including but not limited to rewind, cabling, armouring, and fine draw operations.

Machine Operators are responsible for safely operating manufacturing equipment, ensuring product quality meets specifications, and supporting efficient production flow.

Work Location & Flexibility

While employees may be initially assigned to a specific department, production line, or primary work location, all Machine Operator roles support operations across both the Sidney Street and Riverside Drive facilities.

Based on business needs and at the discretion of management, employees may be reassigned to different departments, production lines, shifts, or work locations, including movement between both plant locations.

Candidates must have reliable transportation, as public transit in Trenton, ON is limited and may not accommodate all shift schedules.

This job posting is for current openings within Electro Cables.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $22.66 per hour.
Wage progression is based on the role and department assigned, with rates ranging up to $29.69 per hour following successful completion of training and probationary requirements.

Placement into specific machine roles and corresponding wage progression is determined based on operational needs, as well as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and demonstrated abilities. Not all machine roles reach the maximum rate.
