What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Machine Operator who is responsible for all corrugated pipe/culvert operations in Ayr, Ontario. Duties will be fulfilled as assigned by the Plant Manager in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Shift Timings – 06:30 AM to 04:30 PM – Monday to Thursday.

What You Will Do

  • Set up and operate metal forming machines to perform bending, punching, roll forming, and other operations as specified by work orders and blueprints.
  • Install and align roller dies, dies, and other machine components using rules, vernier gauges, and hand tools.
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, and other large equipment to handle materials and products safely.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and conformity to specifications, using tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain high standards of quality.

What You Will Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating metal forming machinery, including cranes, forklifts, and other large equipment.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and quality control measures.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
  • Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
