What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Machine Operator who is responsible for all corrugated pipe/culvert operations in Ayr, Ontario. Duties will be fulfilled as assigned by the Plant Manager in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.
Shift Timings – 06:30 AM to 04:30 PM – Monday to Thursday.
What You Will Do
- Set up and operate metal forming machines to perform bending, punching, roll forming, and other operations as specified by work orders and blueprints.
- Install and align roller dies, dies, and other machine components using rules, vernier gauges, and hand tools.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other large equipment to handle materials and products safely.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and conformity to specifications, using tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain high standards of quality.
What You Will Need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating metal forming machinery, including cranes, forklifts, and other large equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
