Responsibilities

  • Work with Supervisor and Lead Hand to meet daily productivity targets safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain positive and safe workplace behavior and collaborate with team members.
  • Perform tasks in departments such as Press Shop, Assembly, Cut to Length, and Shear.
  • Set up and operate break presses and notching machines following safety procedures.
  • Adjust machine settings for accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
  • Follow EHS guidelines and use PPE on the shop floor.
  • Read blueprints and diagrams for machine setup.
  • Focus on quality and learn additional tasks.
  • Handle materials weighing 5-20 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks during 10-hour shifts.
  • Share best practices and build effective relationships within the team.
  • Be willing to cross-train across departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions, manage time, and maintain reliable attendance.
  • Mechanical aptitude and efficiency-driven attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and cross-train.
  • Comfortable with computers and following production schedules.
