Job description

We are looking for an aspiring Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. The Coinbase Machine Learning team is committed to developing sophisticated ML models that enhance platform security, personalize user recommendations, and improve user experience. Our mission is to build scalable, adaptive, blockchain-aware ML systems that help users explore new crypto use cases on Coinbase and the blockchain.

The Machine Learning org is part of our Platform Product Group, which aims to build a trusted, scalable, and compliant platform to maximize velocity, efficiency, and quality. They lay the foundation for multiple products and teams at Coinbase, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience.

What you’ll be doing (job duties):

1. Develop, productionize, and operate Machine Learning models and pipelines at scale.
2. Contribute to ML models for Risk, at the intersection of Blockchain and AI technologies.
3. Collaborate with senior engineers and product partners to identify and solve new ML use cases on blockchain.

What we look for in you (job requirements):

1. 2+ years of industry experience as a Machine Learning Engineer.
2. Strong software engineering skills.
3. Experience with ML platforms such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
4. Knowledge of basic ML techniques like supervised and unsupervised learning.
5. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.

Nice to Have:

• Master's or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Interest in DNNs, GANS, GNNs, and Time Series modeling.
