Job summary

Agile Electromagnetics in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking a DSP Machine Learning Engineer to lead algorithm development and system integration for RF systems. The role collaborates with software, FPGA, and hardware teams to deliver innovative solutions and requires ability to communicate vision and work collaboratively.

The position is hybrid, based at the Kanata office with access to Controlled Goods; preferred candidates hold a degree in EE/CE/CS with DSP/ML focus and Python proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's/PhD in a related field specializing in DSP or machine learning.
  • Understanding of digital signal processing theory and implementation.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience programming in Python with demonstrated ability to prototype algorithms and solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct independent research.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Experience with SDRs is an asset.
  • Experience with UAS and/or 4/5G communications system is an asset.
  • Experience with real-time software or FPGA development is an asset.

DSP Machine Learning Engineer

Agile Electromagnetics is a Canadian company focused on developing next generation remote sensing and counter-drone systems. We have a range of projects that require development of novel digital signal processing and machine learning solutions for software defined Radio Frequency (RF) systems.

This role will be a critical part of our team, leading algorithm development and system integration on various projects. This position will work closely with the software, FPGA, and hardware teams to deliver novel solutions for our customers. This role requires someone with the ability to work collaboratively, communicate their vision, and deliver solutions.

This is a hybrid role at our office in Kanata and requires the ability to be certified to access Controlled Goods.
