Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join the AI/ML Platform team, focusing on the design and development of state-of-the-art tooling to support data scientists and research engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering, with a deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, and extensive experience in data science for various use cases. This role demands a strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and maintain high standards of security and usability. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our AI/ML capabilities, delivering solutions that generate significant organizational value.

Responsibilities

• Explore data processing pipelines and model training architectures of customer teams and help inform platform design decisions with empathy.
• Implement monitoring tools and practices to track AI/ML model performance during training and in production, identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and optimize system and model performance for better efficiency and cost reduction.
• Oversee deployment of AI/ML models into production, including setting up CI/CD pipelines for model deployment and versioning, ensuring smooth updates and rollbacks.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI/ML, cloud computing, and MLOps practices, exploring and integrating innovative solutions to enhance platform capabilities and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development and engineering, with a proven record of delivering production systems and services.
• Strong background in AI/ML, including deep learning, statistical modeling, and neural networks.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and familiarity with the model lifecycle from training to deployment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Deep understanding of system performance optimization and latency reduction techniques.
• Commitment to continuous learning to stay updated with AI/ML and cloud computing trends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GPU computing (CUDA, OpenCL) to enhance model training and inference.
• Experience with big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Familiarity with AI/ML model monitoring tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, TensorBoard).
• Experience with high-performance computing techniques for AI/ML workloads.
