Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently looking for Forklift Operators at our Woodstock Plant. The Forklift Operators must be available to work in the yard and/or in the tumble room.

They also need to be available on dayshift and afternoon shift, Monday to Friday.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Load, unload, sort, check, move, wrap, package, store and/or pile different products, material, raw material (pallets, skids, plates, blocks, paves).
2. Perform yard and plant clean-up and plant housekeeping. Employee must keep their work area clean.
3. Participate in production as requested.
4. Participate in preventive maintenance of equipment or products change as requested.
5. Communicate to competent persons any quality, abnormalities or faulty situations regarding the product, batch, quality, machine, equipment, workplace or other.
6. Work as a team.
7. Wear safety personal protective equipment as required for this position, work safely and observe all safety procedures such as lockout procedure, etc.
8. Learn basic machine function.
9. Perform all other related tasks requested by their superior.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma.
2. Forklift License.
3. Teamwork oriented, initiative; responsible, able to react, to be precise; methodical.
4. Organized, must be able to work with established procedures, guidelines, people and under immediate supervision.
5. Must be able to learn quickly and have the capacity to safely physically handle weight up to 20kg.
6. Must have judgment and communication aptitude.
7. Must be able to react efficiently and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
8. Must have an excellent attendance record.
