Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently looking for Forklift Operators at our Woodstock Plant. The forklift operators must be available to work in the yard and/or in the tumble room.

They also need to be available on dayshift and afternoon shift, Monday to Friday.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, sort, check, move, wrap, package, store and/or pile different products, material, raw material (pallets, skids, plates, blocks, paves)
• Perform yard and plant clean-up and plant housekeeping. Employees must keep their work area clean.
• Participate in production as requested.
• Participate in preventive maintenance of equipment or product changes as requested.
• Communicate to competent persons any quality issues, abnormalities, or faulty situations regarding the product, batch, quality, machine, equipment, or workplace.
• Work as a team.
• Wear safety personal protective equipment as required for this position, work safely, and observe all safety procedures such as lockout procedures.
• Learn basic machine functions.
• Perform all other related tasks requested by their supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma
• Forklift Licence
• Team-oriented, initiative; responsible, able to react, to be precise; methodical
• Organized, able to work with established procedures, guidelines, people, and under immediate supervision
• Able to learn quickly and physically handle weights up to 20kg safely
• Judgment and communication skills
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Excellent attendance record
