Job summary

Métis Nation–Saskatchewan seeks a Ma Faamii Manager to provide strategic leadership to Ma Faamii’s operations and service expansion across Saskatchewan, reporting to the Director of Child and Family Services and Ma Faamii. You will oversee Service Centres and remote staff, ensure fiscal accountability, and build robust internal/external partnerships.

The role emphasizes governance, policy development, and program delivery aligned with funding agreements, safeguarding outcomes for Métis citizens

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in human services or equivalent combination of academic, professional and/or lived experience.
• Training in leadership, systems development, and front line service delivery standards.
• Experience in community or public services.
• Minimum five years related experience in a senior-level position.
• Minimum five years working within the health and/or social services sector.
• Training in suicide prevention, addictions, and child and family welfare is considered an asset.
• Ability to communicate in Indigenous languages is an asset but not a requirement.
• Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to Ma Faamii’s operations and citizen services.
• Support Operations Supervisors with implementing the annual strategic plan, communications strategy, workplan, and budgets.
• Proactively address internal or external challenges to achieve Ma Faamii’s goals.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with MN-S ministries, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Explore innovative approaches to improve Métis citizens’ lives in line with MN–S priorities.
• Build awareness of MN–S governance and constitution.
• Recruit and retain a skilled Ma Faamii team ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Create data collection processes and ensure risks are managed.
