Job summary

Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario, is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Medical Radiation Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. The role requires availability across all shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a unionized environment under OPSEU.

As an MRT, you will perform general radiography, OR and portable imaging, and contribute to a busy DI department offering X-ray, CT, MRI, US, and other modalities in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Active member of CMRT/CMRITO in Ontario.
• General x-ray, OR, portable imaging capabilities.
• Current CPR certification required at hire.
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
• PACS experience and ability to handle patient and staff interactions.
• Ability to meet physical demands as per job analysis.
• Preferred: Windows computer experience and IV contrast administration certification.

Department/Unit/Program Description

The Diagnostic Imaging Department (DI) offers a variety of services to inpatients and outpatients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Modalities offered include X-ray, CT, MRI, US, Mammography (including Ontario Breast Screening OBSP), Echocardiography and non-invasive IR procedures.

Orthopedic fracture clinics run multiple days per week, adding to the variety of patients seen. Patient complexity ranges based on individual patient needs.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department is currently seeking a Permanent Part-time Medical Radiation Technologist to join their team.

Essential Qualifications

• Active member of College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
• General x-ray, OR, portable work
• Current CPR certification, on hire
• High level of communication, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
• PACS experience
• Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer experience in a Windows environment
• Certified in Administration of Intravenous Contrast Agents

Hours of Work

Must be available for all shifts, Monday to Sunday, including weekends, and statutory holidays. Shifts and hours may vary according to departmental requirements and as per the OPSEU Collective Agreement.
