Description: Our client in the private equity industry is expanding! They are in need of a Tax professional/CPA with solid M&A tax experience to take on this role. This person will take on complicated tax planning and devise tax structures. Duties will involve but not limited to:
High-level planning and modeling of tax for potential acquisitions
Tax due diligence during pre-closings
Review of LOI’s and purchase agreements for tax issues
Liaising with our tax teams on how to structure our transactions
Optimizing to mitigate sales taxes on close
Leading with tax planning for post-closing income and post-closing adjustments reviews
Tracking the income tax installments/liabilities post-closing for the Target Entities including any tax reserves deducted/added back and activities as a result of any assessments done for the stub period, reassessment to be processed post-closing and updating tax balances for post-closing adjustment claims
Assisting the deal team and working with the operational team and external accounting firm for the tax return filings for the first-year post-transaction closing for the portfolio entities/limited partnerships
Other special projects and helping with tax compliance requirements as available
Salary: Company offers salary in the range of 120K-170K negotiable depending upon qualifications and experience. Hybrid work arrangement.
