We are seeking a dynamic Interim Senior Manager of Accounting for our cutting-edge SaaS client. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, a problem solver, and a leader, with a strong background in the tech industry and a deep understanding of financial and accounting principles. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, driving growth and innovation in the rapidly evolving tech sector. The role demands a high level of responsibility, requiring the candidate to manage projects, lead teams, and provide expert consulting services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage consulting projects related to tech services, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on a range of issues, including revenue recognition, software as a service, intercompany accounting, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and maintain regular communication to manage expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Oversee and manage the financial aspects of tech services, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. An advanced degree, such as an MBA, is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior consulting role within the tech industry.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, with a focus on financial management and business strategy.
  • Expert knowledge of revenue recognition, software as a service, intercompany accounting, IFRS, and GAAP.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic approach to decision-making.
  • High level of professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
