Job description

Join Our Nursing Team! Travel California 13-Week Contracts

Requirement: Must possess a California license to apply.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patients' needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and applicable regulations.

Principal Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
  2. Participates in and assists with the implementation of the Quality Improvement Program.
  3. Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring in appropriate programs.
  4. Notifies other departments of patient changes, such as room changes, leaves of absence, new admits, discharges, etc.
  5. Provides education to families and patients.
  6. Administers medications timely and according to facility policy.
  7. Administers treatments timely and according to facility policy.
  8. Receives, transcribes, and executes physician orders, if permitted by Nurse Practice Act.
  9. Conducts rounds with physicians when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Currently licensed as an LVN in California.
  • One-year prior nursing management experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in Long Term Care.
  • Experience with Point Click Care charting.
