Job summary

Artemis Gold Inc. is seeking a Light Vehicle (LV) Mechanic for BW Gold’s Blackwater Mine site. The role is permanent with a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation, reporting to the Supervisor – Maintenance.

You will maintain and repair light vehicles and auxiliary equipment, ensuring reliability in a remote mining environment. Ideal candidates hold Automotive Technician Red Seal Certification, a valid driver's license, and experience with Ford/OEM equipment.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive Technician Red Seal Certification.
• Valid driver's license and Ford/OEM experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Light Vehicles / Aux equipment, including Light trucks, Class 7/8 highway trucks, UTV and Snowmobiles.
• Apply proper diagnostic techniques to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with equipment.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on new challenges, while contributing to the overall success of the Maintenance department.
• May be required to maintain a clean-shaven appearance to ensure the safe and effective use of required PPE.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Maintenance, the LV Mechanic is responsible performing routine maintenance and repairs on Light Vehicles in the mining industry. Supports the Maintenance department's efforts to ensure the reliability and performance of Light Vehicle Fleet.

Location: Blackwater Mine site

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

• May be required to maintain a clean-shaven appearance (i.e. no facial hair) to ensure the safe and effective use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) associated with assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive Technician Red Seal Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Ford Dealer/OEM experience would be considered an asset.
• Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation
• Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team
• Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift
• Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
