About the Role
We're looking for a high-performing, relationship-driven Luxury Sales Associate, Rugs – Commission Based to join our dynamic team at Elte. With over 100 years of history, rugs are at the heart of our legacy: globally sourced, thoughtfully curated, and deeply rooted in craftsmanship.
This is more than a sales role; it’s a client advisory position that blends design sensibility, entrepreneurial spirit, and a dedication to exceptional service. You'll collaborate with interior designers, architects, and discerning clients to help bring their vision to life. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets through strategic outreach, networking, and proactive client engagement
Cultivate new business opportunities with trade professionals (designers, architects, builders)
Create and execute personalized sales plans aligned with Elte’s growth strategy
Client Experience & Relationship Building
Act as a trusted advisor to clients; listening, understanding, and offering curated solutions
Deliver a white-glove experience, from showroom consultation to post-sale follow-up
Conduct in-person meetings both in-showroom and on-site at client offices or project sites
Offsite & Showroom Sales
Spend up to 50% of your time outside the showroom, attending events, site visits, and trade meetings
Confidently present Elte’s assortment to small groups and industry partners
Support weekend and event sales initiatives one day per week (either Saturday or Sunday).
Sales Strategy & CRM
Prioritize and manage your sales pipeline using Salesforce
Track key metrics and continuously optimize your sales performance
Ensure the showroom environment is always polished and brand-aligned
Requirements
Experience
5+ years of proven success in a commission-based, client-focused sales environment
Top-tier performer with a track record of exceeding targets
Skills & Attributes
Excellent communicator, confident presenting to clients and small groups
Expert relationship builder and solution-oriented problem solver
Highly organized, self-motivated, and driven to succeed
Passion for design, aesthetics, and helping clients express their style
Tech & Logistics
Proficient with CRM tools
Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Available for occasional weekend work and flexible to client schedules
Nice-to-Have:
Previous experience with Salesforce,
Background in interior design, luxury retail, furnishings, or related industries is a strong asset
