Where are lunchroom supervisors needed?
The Durham District School Board (DDSB) is responsible for public education in the rural settings of Uxbridge, Brock, and Scugog Townships and the urban settings of Ajax, Whitby, Pickering, and Oshawa. With 132 elementary and secondary schools and learning centres, the Board accommodates more than 70,000 regular day students.
How much time is involved?
Lunchroom supervisors will generally work approximately 1-2 hours per day (or more depending on the school's requirements) during the school year from September to June.
How you can apply?
Since this is a casual position that works daily or on-call, on a day-to-day basis during the school year (September to June), lunchroom supervisors must live within a reasonable distance to the school. Lunchroom supervisors are hired by schools directly. Interested candidates should contact the school within your surrounding neighborhood to inquire if there are any opportunities as well as applying directly to this posting. Applicants should submit a cover letter and resume outlining why you would like to be a lunchroom supervisor, your experience and/or your interest in working with children with special needs. You will also be required to provide two business, professional supervisory references.
The Durham District School Board is committed to equity and inclusion in the recruitment and hiring of qualified staff who reflect the diversity of our Region. We encourage submissions from candidates who represent the various dimensions of diversity.
While we appreciate all applications received, only those to be interviewed will be contacted.
