Job summary

RONA in Schomberg, Ontario is hiring for a lumberyard team member. You will provide expert advice on lumber and building materials and help customers load products safely and efficiently.

You will check invoices, ensure correct products are provided, and support daily upkeep, including unloading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, pricing, and maintaining pallets. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 25 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
